Official Contest Rules for both
On-air and On-site Promotions

1. Leighton Broadcasting, Grand Forks. Official Contest Rules applies to the following Grand Forks radio stations: KYCK-FM/97.1, KZLT-FM/104.3, KNOX-FM/94.7, KNOX-AM/1310, AND KCNN/1590.

2. No purchase necessary. Void where prohibited by law. All federal, state, and local law and regulations apply.  Contests open to U.S. residents only. 

3. Qualifications: Limit one entry per person, during each on-air giveaway or on-site remote contest. Prize winnings may not be transferred. All winners or qualifiers are subject to verification. One must be at least 18 years of age or older to qualify, unless stated differently for a specific promotion, and must have positive identification (valid driver's license or other Government issued photo identification).  All employees of Leighton Broadcasting, employees of other radio stations serving the greater Grand Forks area, and participating sponsors as well as their immediate family are ineligible to participate in any on-air contest or any on-site remote contest.

4. One may win once every 30 days, either through on-air or on-site contest, unless stated differently for a specific promotion. Once you have won a prize from a specific radio station, you are ineligible to win again for the next 30 days on any Leighton Broadcasting station. Leighton Broadcasting will rely on contestants, participants, and winners to truthfully disclosure if one has won within the past 30 days. In the event that it is not documented by Leighton Broadcasting, the prize winner is expected to be responsible and aware of his or her eligibility status, based upon the honor system.

5. Definition of prize: The term "prize" as described herein includes (but is not limited to): CDs, clothing, movie passes, gift certificates, concert tickets, trip giveaways, and anything else with the value of over $10. Any and all state and local taxes to be paid on prize packages is the responsibility of the prize winner.  A 1099 (W9) form will be made available to the winner for tax purposes, if applicable. All prize winners are solely responsible for all local, state, and federal taxes, and/or fees applicable. All winners must complete all necessary paperwork required by Leighton Broadcasting, including a release, prior to receiving contest prize, if applicable.  Stickers, key chains, and similar novelties are available on a limited basis (when available) and are not included in this definition as a "prize."

6. Leighton Broadcasting and other sponsors will not be responsible for prizes forfeited because if ineligibility.  Winners will be given 30 days to claim their prize.  After 30 days, unclaimed prizes will be forfeited.  Leighton Broadcasting will not notify winners of the time remaining to pick up their prize.  It is the responsibility of the winner to claim the prize within the 30 days provided.  Should the winner forfeit the prize for any reason, it will remain the property of Leighton Broadcasting.  Leighton Broadcasting reserves the right to select an alternate winner or retain the prize package. Substitution of prizes will not be permitted. Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash. Leighton Broadcasting will not be liable for the failure of promotional partners in providing the prize.  Leighton Broadcasting may substitute another prize of equal value in the event of non-availability of an announced prize.  Leighton Broadcasting is not responsible for defective prizes. 

7. By claiming the prize, the winner does hereby release and absolutely and forever discharge Leighton Broadcasting, KYCK-FM, KZLT-FM, KNOX-FM, KNOX-AM, KCNN-AM, our partners, officers, directors, affiliates, attorneys, agents, representatives and employees, both present and past, from any and all liabilities, debts, accounts, reckoning, obligations, costs, expenses, actions, and cause of action in every kind of nature whether known or unknown, suspected or unsuspected, whether in law of equity, whether in the past or future, that you may now or hereafter have or claim to have against us based upon or arising out of our connection with, either directly or indirectly, anything omitted, or suffered to be done at any time in connection with the contest, promotion, or prize (on-air or at on-site remotes) Prize winners also agree to indemnify us from and against any claim, demand debt, liability, cost (including attorney's fees), expense, action, or cause of action based upon, arising out of, or in connection with your receipt of and enjoyment of prize received.

8. Participation in the contest and the acceptance of the prize constitutes permission to Leighton Broadcasting, its agencies, and other contest sponsors to use the winner's name, voice and/or likeness for purposes of advertising without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.

9. For on-air/on-site contests, the odds of winning are based upon the number of eligible entries received, date, and time of qualifications and listenership of the particular station during the stated call-in qualification periods. Leighton Broadcasting and other sponsors will have no responsibility for failure to claim any prize or problems incurred when attempting to win based on allegations of telephone difficulties.

10. All decisions of Leighton Broadcasting officials, promotions department, on-air staff, or management will be final. Any disputes will be settled by the Leighton Broadcasting contest administrators. By participating in contests sponsored by Leighton Broadcasting, entrants automatically agree to be bound by these official rules and the decisions of Leighton Broadcasting 's employees, which are final as to all matters relating to this on-air or on-site remote contest, giveaway, etc. Failure to comply with the contest rules will result in the disqualification and the forfeiture of the prize. Leighton Broadcasting reserves the right to change or alter these rules at any time without further notice.  Leighton Broadcasting reserves the right to terminate or declare contests null and void and rescind any contest rewards if, in sole judgments, the rules or the integrity of a contest have been violated or comprised in any way, intentionally or unintentionally, by any person, whether or not a participant in the contest. 

11. Complete contest rules are available on each station’s web site.  Copies of these complete contest rules are made available without charge at Leighton Broadcasting offices during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.  They are also available by mail by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: Leighton Broadcasting, P.O.
