Leighton Broadcasting Account Executives (AE) establish and maintain marketing partnerships with area businesses and develop creative ad campaigns & promotions to increase their business. In this role, you’ll work alongside a small team of other AEs to achieve market goals.  

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Seek out new clients and grow existing client accounts. 

  • Assist Sales Manager with budget planning and sales projections. 

  • Attend weekly team meetings and provide progress updates. 

  • Utilize existing software programs for sales management, revenue order entry, and project management. 

  • Achieve monthly sales goals and annual revenue targets. 

Qualifications: 

  • 3-5 years of sales experience. 

  • Ability to persevere to achieve goals. 

  • Exude passion, energy and enthusiasm about Leighton Broadcasting. 

  • Ability to develop creative solutions for clients. 

  • General understanding of digital, events, and broadcast marketing opportunities.

In the Sales Manager role, your primary duties are to achieve or exceed market revenue goals and lead the development of members of the sales team.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Lead and prepare for weekly sales meetings
  • Attend meetings with account executives with their clients
  • Create revenue generating sales ideas for broadcast, digital and events divisions
  • Daily usage of software programs to measure overall revenue growth and account executive progress
  • Lead, manage and hold accountable account executives
  • Own financial metrics of the sales department including pricing inventory, expense management, weekly revenue, pacing and forecasting

Leighton Broadcasting in St. Cloud, Minnesota is looking for a reliable person to add to our on-air team as Program Director on News/Talk radio station KNSI. You'll lead all aspects of the radio station’s on-air experience, responsible for talent, content, programming, and online presence.  

Responsibilities:

• Reviews and determines all commercial and paid programming content. 

• Plans and oversees tone, programming, production, sound & theme, website, online presence, and social media.

• Collaborates with Production to enlist musical direction and seeks options that meet editorial scope. 

• Identifies, recruits, and coaches on-air talent, producers, news directors, and reporters, e.g., frequently listens/airchecks sessions with on-air talent. 

• Partners with Operations Manager, Programming and Sales in support of business goals to increase market share, listeners, ratings, advertiser satisfaction, and revenue while aligning programming fit with client, station, and audience; creates talent and station marketing, promotion, and image campaigns. 

• Determines and maintains creative vision for station(s) to enhance station. 

• Host remote broadcasts as required. 

Qualifications:
