In the Sales Manager role, your primary duties are to achieve or exceed market revenue goals and lead the development of members of the sales team.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Lead and prepare for weekly sales meetings
  • Attend meetings with account executives with their clients
  • Create revenue generating sales ideas for broadcast, digital and events divisions
  • Daily usage of software programs to measure overall revenue growth and account executive progress
  • Lead, manage and hold accountable account executives
  • Own financial metrics of the sales department including pricing inventory, expense management, weekly revenue, pacing and forecasting

Job Details: You’ll work closely with the Executive Director of Digital and Account Executives of Leighton Broadcasting to grow the business through onboarding clients, creating and managing the execution of digital marketing plans, managing projects, working closely with other digital experts, and measuring results.

Duties:

  • Create and track project timelines; ensure internal partners have the resources and information needed to complete the work. Participate in project status meetings; maintain a pulse on projects from start to finish
  • Utilize partner relationships to uncover opportunities for growth and ensure client goals are aligned with campaign strategy and tactics
  • Maintain a working knowledge of clients’ industries, culture, products/services, and strategic communications/marketing goals
  • Ensure project requirements are accurately captured, documented and communicated with clients and internal team members.

Leighton Broadcasting is hiring for the position of Operations Manager and Program Director of KZPK in our St. Cloud, MN cluster.

Leighton Broadcasting believes in talent development and as OM your duties include direct coaching and managing the use of external consultants (Randy Lane Company, Joel Raab, Mark St. John, etc).  Working through the PDs, you would be responsible for the success of heritage CHR leader 104.7 KCLD, News Talk KNSI, Lite 999 KCML and Classic Rock Z103 HD3 98.9 as well as direct responsibility for the market’s top-billing billing station, WILD Country 99, KZPK.  The OM is responsible for the overall operations budget and works with each PD to manage their respective station’s budget.

We’re looking for a focused, experienced leader to grow talent, excellent at music scheduling, work and collaborate to maximize sales opportunities and successfully grow all digital platforms. Experience with news talk programming is a plus but not required.
