Name: Milissa Van Eps
Location: Grand Forks, ND
Background: Crazy as it is, I have somewhat come full circle as my first year of college was majoring in the Broadcasting program at Northland Community and Technical College in Thief River Falls, MN. I also attended the University of North Dakota, Northwest Technical College in East Grand Forks and ultimately graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Business Management from the University of Minnesota, Crookston. Before joining the Leighton Broadcasting Team, I worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota as an account executive.
How you got into broadcasting: I worked in the health care industry for 15+ years and decided it was time for a career change. The saying goes, “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.” Music is my passion. I have always had a deep interest in the radio and broadcasting industry; I also love helping people so it seemed like a natural fit. I took a leap of faith and here I am!
Why you love your work: The people. I am a people-person and this job is all about helping people grow their businesses and relationship-building.
