Background: U.S. Navy out of High School, Worked in the Ag industry for 5 years, Construction and Roofing for 3 years until I started working in radio sales. I’ve been with Lakes Radio for 23 years.
High School diploma from Wadena High School, 1 year of machine shop and 1 year of Tool and Die training at Staples Technical College in 1979 and 1980. CRMC certified from RAB.
How you got into Broadcasting: I was doing color for John Longie at KWAD in Wadena for 3 years for Wadena Deer Creek wrestling and really liked it and it made me want to continue in the radio business. On October 25, 1991, I started employment with Lakes Radio.
Why you love your work: The work I do lets me interact with lots of people (clients) and even make friends out of some of them. It is challenging and rewarding mentally and I can make a good living at it. It's the best career I have ever had.
Random Facts: I like hunting, fishing and sports. I like being in nature.
I also love to spent time with my family, especially my adult children and grand children. I also like various types of music and classic movies.
